Initial investments range from $250,000 to $2 million. The Fund takes minority positions in their portfolio companies and serves on their portfolio companies' boards of directors. Their investment horizon is 3 to 5 years. Blue Rock co-invests with other top US venture capital funds. In some instances, Blue Rock leads investment syndicates and may also participate in financings led by other investors. The Fund holds between 25 and 30 companies in its portfolio.
