At Ackerman & Co. LLC, he held the title of Chairman from 1967 to 2017.
Mr. Ackerman also held former positions as Chairman of Devereux Georgia Treatment Network, Director of American ORT, Inc., Director of Buckhead Community Improvement District, Trustee of Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health, Trustee of Jewish Federation of Greater Atlanta, Inc., Member of Brandeis University, Trustee of Clark Atlanta University, Member-Advisory Board of Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars, and Member of The American Jewish Committee.
He received a graduate degree from Emory University and Georgia State University, and an undergraduate degree from The University of North Carolina at Charlotte.
