Paul G. Stern

Paul G.
Stern is the founder of Thayer Capital Partners, which was founded in 1995.
He is currently the Chairman of the National Symphony Orchestra since 2012 and the Chairman of Claris Capital LLC since 2004.
He is also the Non-Executive Chairman of Claris Holdings LLC and the Vice Chairman of The Kennedy Center Corporate Fund.
Additionally, he serves as a Director for Earth Council Geneva, the University of Pennsylvania, Business Executives for National Security, Decision Lens, Inc., and the Council on Foreign Relations, Inc. He is a Trustee of The Library of Congress and a Member of the Potomac Officers Club.
In his former positions, he served as the Chairman & Chief Executive Officer of Northern Telecom Ltd. from 1988 to 1993, an Independent Director of The Dow Chemical Co. from 1992 to 2012, and the President of Unisys Corp.
from 1982 to 1987.
He was also a Partner at Forstmann Little & Co. from 1993 to 1995 and a Director of ManTech International Corp.
from 2004 to 2007.
He has also held positions at Whirlpool Corp., Arlington Capital Partners LLC, Rockwell International Corp., and The John F.
Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts.
Dr. Stern holds a doctorate degree from The University of Manchester, an undergraduate degree from Fairleigh Dickinson University, and a graduate degree from Stevens Institute of Technology.
