A founding member of Prism, Mr. Mason retired in July 2005 and now serves as a Special Limited Partner to the firm.
A successful entrepreneur, he served as CEO of four venture-backed companies in the medical technology and services industries.
Mr. Mason served as CEO of Delsys Pharmaceutical Corporation, a leading innovator of dry-powder drug delivery technology licensed from Sarnoff Laboratories.
He also founded Innovative Surgical Products, which was sold to Allergan and conceptualized and launched Health & Care Products, a maker of ophthalmic accessory products, which was subsequently sold to a private company.
Mr. Mason also led the turnaround of Strato Medical, which was later acquired by Pfizer.
