Austin Gaton

Austin Gaton is Senior Vice President of Engineering at Spicewood Minerals.
He has over 12 years of experience in the oil and gas industry and is responsible for all engineering and fund operations, acquisitions and divestiture underwriting, and business development.
Prior to Spicewood Minerals, Austin spent two years at MBP Energy where he focused on engineering and fund operations.
Previously, he worked at Samson Resources where he managed over 500,000 net mineral acres of leasehold and assessed over $1 billion of acquisitions all within the major US shale basins.
Austin received his Bachelor of Science in petroleum engineering from the University of Oklahoma.
