Allan T. Hackney

Mr. Hackney is Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer for John Hancock Financial, the U.S.
division of Toronto-based Manulife Financial Corporation.
Mr. Hackney, who joined John Hancock in a newly created role in 2008, leads the company’s information technology teams and is accountable for developing and executing strategies that increase productivity and efficiency, improve operating risk management and enhance the technical talent across the enterprise.
He is responsible for increasing the value obtained from the Company’s investment in people, technology and service providers.
He also is a member of Manulife’s Global Information Services Leadership Committee.
Before joining John Hancock, Mr. Hackney was Chief Information Officer at AIG Consumer Finance Group.
Previously, he was Senior Vice President of Information Technology for Bank of America Commercial Finance.
He also had worked for nearly two decades at General Electric U.S.
and Japan for its global consumer finance business.
Mr. Hackney graduated with a Bachelor’s degree from Colgate University.
