Steve Bellamy

Mr. Steve Bellamy is the president and founder of The Tennis Channel, and spearheads the network’s development and emerging role as a hub for the sport.
One of the most connected people in the sport today, he has parlayed his many entertainment and tennis-industry relationships to create tremendous synergies and growth for tennis.
He has also become one of the most recognizable faces for tennis, appearing frequently as a radio and television news analyst, and a popular advocate of the game.
A longtime fan of and cheerleader for the sport, he has been integrally involved in every facet of the industry, including facilities owner, promoter, top coach, celebrity go-to guy, tournament director, marketer and evangelist.
In 1985, he founded Atonal Tennis, Inc. which built, bought and operated tennis centers and tennis businesses, including the world-famous Palisades Tennis Center, Santa Monica Tennis Center and Westchester Tennis Academy.
A graduate of Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business, one of the most prestigious business schools in America, he is the 2005 winner of the institution’s most esteemed honor, the Distinguished Entrepreneur Award.
Much of his business acumen was derived from the time he spent promoting the band he fronted during college, Johnny Major and the Minors.
After moving to California, he released five albums, became a prolific songwriter (penning more than 1,500 songs, several of which remain frequently heard on television and film) and had a video on MTV.
Personally, he enjoys playing tennis, badminton, paddle tennis, skiing, music and, most of all, parenting.
He has owned more than 500 collectable guitars, uses Apple computers and is a vegan vegetarian.
He and his wife Beth, a former NCAA singles champion and top 20 professional tennis player, have four children.
They reside in Pacific Palisades, Calif.
