John Urquhart

John Urquhart is Vice Chairman of Inveresk Research Group, Inc. Prior to his current position at the Inveresk Research Group (formerly Inveresk Research Group Ltd.), he was a Director and a Non-Executive Vice Chairman.
Dr. Urquhart is Chairman of Compensation Committee and Science Committee for BioMarin Pharmaceutical, Inc. and has been a Member of the BioMarin Science Advisory Board since 2002.
He joined BioMarin Pharmaceutical in July 2003.
Dr. Urquhart has been Chief Scientist of AARDEX Ltd. since September 1995.
He is Chief Executive Officer of APREX.
He has been a Director of HBM Bioventures since 1991 and Charles River Laboratories, Inc. since November 2004.
Dr. Urquhart has been an Adjunct Professor of Biopharmaceutical Sciences at the University of California, San Francisco Medical Center since 1986.
He was a Professor of Pharmacoepidemiology at Maastricht University from 1986 to April 2004.
Dr. Urquhart received a BA degree from Rice University and an MD from the Harvard Medical School.
