John Spooner

Mr. John Spooner is a Director at Technology Business Research, Inc. He oversees TBR’s coverage of the computing and IoT markets, including companies such as Acer, Apple, Cisco, Dell, EMC, GE, Google, Hewlett-Packard, IBM, Intel, Microsoft and Samsung.
He and his team lead TBR’s research in the areas of IoT, connected devices and mobility, including global adoption of connected devices for both corporate and personal usage and the rising need for business-oriented IoT solutions incorporating hardware, software and services.
Prior to joining Technology Business Research in 2006, Mr. Spooner worked as a journalist.
He provided in-depth coverage of PCs and semiconductors for publications ranging from PC Week to CNET News.com, reporting on companies such as Intel, AMD, Dell, HP and Lenovo.
Most recently he was a senior writer for Ziff Davis’ eweek magazine.
He holds a B.A. in politics and history from Curry College.
