Dara Engle

Dara Engle is Chief Human Resources Officer for ORIX Corporation USA, overseeing all aspects of HR and talent for the company’s approximately 1,300 employees and serving as a primary HR business partner to ORIX USA’s CEO, COO and senior management team.
Ms. Engle is a member of the ORIX USA Management Committee and is responsible for coordinating HR activities across all business lines and functions as well as managing company-wide performance management and rewards systems.
She joined the firm in 2022 and is based in Dallas.
Ms. Engle joined ORIX USA from The Howard Hughes Corporation, where she most recently served as the Chief People Officer for the publicly traded real estate company.
In her role, she was responsible for the global footprint of the human capital platform to support approximately 1,000 employees.
Prior to Howard Hughes, she was the Founder/Principal of HR Inbox, a human resources consulting practice, and previously worked for Best Buy in a variety of Human Resources leadership positions.
Ms. Engle is a certified Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) as well as a Member of DallasHR and a Member of Chief.
Her extensive Board experience includes serving on the Step Up Dallas Board of Directors and as Adjunct Board Member of Step Up Power Hour; Member of the OneSource Virtual Talk Advisory Board; and Member of the Dallas CHRO Group Governing Body.
She earned a BS in Business/Human Resources Management from Florida State University.
