Reed was the founder of Corixa Corp.
(founded in 1994), where he held the title of Chief Scientific Officer & Executive VP from 1994 to 2004.
He was also the founder of Immune Design Corp.
(founded in 2008), where he served as President & Director in 2011.
Additionally, he founded Infectious Disease Research Institute in 1993, where he held the positions of President, Chief Executive Officer & Director from 2014 to 2019.
Dr. Reed also founded Dharma Therapeutics, Inc. in 2005, where he served as President from 2005 to 2008.
In 2017, he founded HDT Bio Corp., where he currently holds the title of President & Chief Executive Officer.
He also founded Afrigen Biologics Pty Ltd. Labs in 2014, where he served as Director until 2019.
Currently, Dr. Reed holds positions at Curevo, Inc. as a Director, the University of Washington as a Professor since 1993, Cornell University as a Professor since 1993, the National Institutes of Health as a Member, and the World Health Organization as a Member-Vaccine Development Committee since 2012.
In the past, Dr. Reed served as Chairman at Bellevue Life Sciences Acquisition Corp.
from 2023 to 2024 and as Chief Scientific Officer at Pine Capital Group Ltd. Regarding education, Dr. Reed obtained his undergraduate degree from Whitman College in 1973.
He then pursued his graduate studies at the University of Montana System, earning a graduate degree in 1977 and a doctorate in 1979.
