Stephen P.
A. Fodor
was the founder of Affymetrix, Inc. (founded in 1992) where he held the title of Executive Chairman from 2009 to 2015.
He was also the founder of Perlegen Sciences, Inc. (founded in 2000) where he served as Chairman from 2010 to 2011.
Additionally, he founded Cellular Research, Inc. in 2011 and held the position of Chief Executive Officer.
Currently, Dr. Fodor is the Director at the American Association for the Advancement of Science, a Trustee at the Carnegie Institution of Washington, and a Member of the National Academy of Engineering.
In the past, he worked as a Director at Sunesis Pharmaceuticals, Inc. from 2001 to 2009 and as Vice President & Director-Physical Sciences at Affymax Research Institute from 1989 to 1993.
