Shobha Venkataraman

Shobha is Partner, CFO & CCO at Elevar.
She leads the firm’s finance (funds, corporate and strategic) and fund administration, mid and back office operations, compliance and reporting, working closely with the firm’s external audit, tax and legal advisors.
She also provides critical support on the firm’s organizational development and key systems / processes.
Shobha has over 15 years of experience in private equity fund administration.
She began her career at Toucan Capital, a Washington-DC based venture capital fund.
At Toucan, she gained experience in fund accounting and compliance management of Small Business Investment Companies (SBIC) licensed under the US-SBA run investment program.
Thereafter, she moved to PEF Services, a New York City based provider of outsourced fund administration services.
At PEF she worked extensively with over 50 PE and VC funds (of different sizes, structures and investment strategies) to meet their financial reporting, fund administration and compliance requirements.
Prior to joining Elevar, Shobha spent over five years at Treeline Business Solutions, an India-based KPO, managing their private equity services vertical.
Shobha graduated from Drexel University with an MBA and has a Masters in Commerce from the University of Madras.
She spends her free time playing Nerf wars and board games with her two sons, and exploring the world with her family every chance she gets.
