Robert B. Ross

Mr. Ross leads the equity market neutral investment team.
Prior to joining Harbert in 2003, he was a portfolio manager at LRL Capital Management in New York, a private investment fund which had a long/short equity portfolio.
From 2001 to 2002, he was employed at Sagamore Hill Capital Management, L.P.
where he served as portfolio manager of a long/short market-neutral equity portfolio.
From 1995 to 2001, he was a Vice President at J.P.
Morgan & Co. in New York and London where he was portfolio manager in the Multi-Markets Fund, a closed-end portfolio of non-traditional investments focused on absolute returns across the economic cycle.
He focused on sourcing, analyzing, and executing investments in public and private equity and high yield securities in communications, technology, media, real estate, industrial products, and consumer goods.
While at J.P.
Morgan's London office, Mr. Ross initiated a long/short market-neutral technology and communications book on the securities of European and U.S.
mid-cap and large-cap companies based on fundamental analysis, and performed private equity investment analysis.
Mr. Ross was also a financial associate at Bristol-Myers Squibb Company from 1990 to 1994, where he performed cash flow analysis, M&A analysis, strategic planning, cost accounting, and budgeting.
He served as a Lieutenant in the United States Navy from 1986 to 1990.
Mr. Ross received a Bachelor of Arts with a concentration in Economics from Harvard University in 1986 and an Master of Business Administration from Columbia University in 1994.
