Smith, CFA, is a Partner & Head of Systematic Research at Ares Systematic Credit Ltd.
Mr. Smith previously worked at BlackRock (formerly Barclays Global Investors) from 2007-2018.
Latterly, he was Managing Director and Head of Research Innovation in the Systematic Fixed Income team at BlackRock.
Prior to this, he was Head of the London Advanced Research Centre at State Street Global Advisors from 2000-2007.
He received his MSc in Mathematical Trading and Finance from Cass in 1999, and his MA in Mathematics from Cambridge University in 1996.
