Sigal was the founder of Tunitas Therapeutics, Inc. (founded in 2007) where he held the titles of President, Chief Executive Officer & Director from 2007 to 2017.
He is currently a Partner at Alerce Investment Management LP since 2017.
Dr. Sigal's former positions include being an Executive Director-Immunology Research at Merck & Co., Inc. from 1983 to 1993, a Director at Clearant, Inc., an Independent Director at Aileron Therapeutics, Inc. from 2019 to 2024, a Senior Vice President at Pharmacopeia LLC from 1993 to 1999, a CSO, EVP-Research & Development at Cytokinetics, Inc., and the President of Trellis Bioscience, Inc. from 2004 to 2007.
He also served as an Assistant Professor at the University of Toronto from 1980 to 1984 and as a Senior Vice President-Research at Pharmacopeia, Inc.Dr. Sigal obtained his undergraduate degree from Princeton University in 1971 and his doctorate degree from the University of Pennsylvania Medical Center in 1977.
