Michael Übersax

Mr. Michael Uebersax, CFA, is Portfolio Manager at Activa Alpha AG Previously he was Head of Trading at Horizon21.
He has extensive trading experience in equity and equity derivates markets across Europe and North America.
He began his career in 1993 as a junior trader with Swiss Bank Corporation (now UBS), Zurich, Switzerland, working as a market maker for equity derivatives.
He gained four years of experience in trading index products and managing the risk on a daily basis.
In 1996 he moved to London, Great Britain, as trader of the Dutch and Spanish equity and equity derivates books.
He developed his skills as a cash trader and was initiating and managing proprietary trading positions.
In 2001 he became responsible for the US equity derivatives trading desk in London, Great Britain.
He played a key role in linking the US with the European equity trading business, utilizing his considerable network within UBS Investment Bank.
Mr. Uebersax holds a degree in electrical engineering from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETHZ), in Zurich, Switzerland, and he is a Certified Financial Analyst (CFA).
