The firm combines bottom-up stock selection with the application of carefully developed themes and evaluates companies at three levels to identify mispriced stocks. They typically hold investments for three to four years. TCAM believes that the market can inefficiently discount company specific events such as management change and devotes their analytical resources to changing company situations. Their funds operate an exclusion policy, avoiding companies believed to expose investors to unacceptable financial risk resulting from poor management of environmental, social and governance issues.
