Leonard is President & Chief Executive Officer at Maine Employers' Mutual Insurance Co. Mr. Leonard began with Maine Employers' Mutual Insurance in 1993, the company’s first year, after a lengthy career with The Travelers, where he led the Commercial Lines Agency Marketing and Underwriting Division.
He was the 2011-12 Board Chair for the National Council on Compensation Insurance (NCCI), the leading ratemaking organization in the workers’ compensation insurance industry and also served on its Nominating and Governance Committee.
He is also the 2013-14 Chairman of the Board of ACORD, the global standards setting organization serving the insurance industry, and serves on its Executive Committee.
He is a former President of the American Association of State Compensation Insurance Funds (AASCIF) and Chairman of its Executive Committee.
Mr. Leonard received his undergraduate degree from Siena College.
