Wessel Johannes Hamman

Mr. Wessel J.
Hamman is a Partner & Chief Executive Officer at Clearance Capital Ltd. He is on the Board of Directors at Hystead Plc, Clearance Real Estate Equity Fund LP, Clearance Segura Fund LP, HOMESTEAD GROUP HOLDINGS LTD and Karoo Investment Fund II SCA SICAV-SIF.
He co-founded Clearance Capital in 2008 and has served as the firm’s Chief Executive Officer since inception.
He has overall responsibility for the investment process across all strategies, as well as the operational processes.
He serves on the Boards of Directors of various listed European real estate companies and funds.
He has managed investment portfolios on a discretionary basis since 1998.
He joined Rand Merchant Bank, a division of FirstRand Bank Limited, in January 1998 as Chief Financial Officer of the Equities Division and in 2000 became head of the Equities Corporate Arbitrage business unit, which he headed until he founded Clearance Capital.
He holds a B. Com.
Honours (Accounting) degree from the University of Johannesburg.
He qualified as a Chartered Accountant (South Africa).
