Walter Saponja

Walter Saponja is a Director of British Columbia Hydro & Power Authority and a Member of the Advisory Board of Hatch Engineering.
Prior to joining British Columbia Hydro & Power Authority, he was President, Chief Executive Officer, and Chief Operating Officer of TransAlta Utilities Corp.
Previously, he was a Director of TransAlta Corp., TransAlta New Zealand, and the Canadian Electricity Association and a Trustee of the North American Reliability Council.
Mr. Saponja received a degree from the University of Alberta.
