Samuel Starr is President and Chief Executive Officer of Sterling Commerce, a subsidiary of SBC Communications and a global provider of business integration solutions.
As the top company executive, Starr strategically guides Sterling Commerce as it helps some of the world’s largest companies and their customers, suppliers and partners maximize business performance and improve business metrics through integration of applications, external partners and people.
Starr previously served as Chief Operating Officer for Sterling Commerce where he was responsible for sales, marketing, research and development, customer support and technology services.
Prior to that time, he served as the company’s Chief Delivery Officer.
With an outstanding array of expertise in the information technology industry, Starr’s background includes more than 20 years of executive experience with development, systems engineering, consulting, systems architecture, hardware/software solutions and technology planning.
