Oliver J. Prodhan

Mr. Oliver J.
Prodhan is a Partner & Chief Investment Officer at Optimus Capital LLP.
He is responsible for the asset management team and oversees the design, implementation and marketing of the firm’s investment proposition.
Mr. Prodhan spent the first ten years of his career as a financial adviser to private clients.
He built his own client book of ‘Magic Circle’ solicitors from scratch, initially under the umbrella of Lincoln Financial Group and subsequently expanded this with independent firms such as Towry Law.
In 2005, Mr. Prodhan joined the private family office of a Middle Eastern family.
He worked as Investment Manager on a portfolio of over $1bn in alternative assets, in conjunction with all the major private banks in London and Geneva, and set up the firm’s own fund of hedge funds with Permal and Credit Suisse.
As a Company Director with operational oversight, he was responsible for liaising with external counsel on the complex trust structures and managing a team covering trust reporting and payments.
He was also involved in financial modelling to assist the Principals in corporate finance projects, such as building airport terminals and hotel complexes.
In 2010, Mr. Prodhan joined UBS Wealth Management, where he remained until joining Optimus in 2012.
At UBS he was part of a small team of portfolio managers helping to transform over £2bn of legacy stock-broking assets, acquired from Laing & Cruickshank, to a private banking approach.
Mr. Prodhan graduated from the University of Glasgow with a degree in Maths in 1995.
He holds the Advanced Financial Planning Certificate, the Investment Management Certificate and is a CFA Charterholder.
