Neal Barrett

Mr. Neal Barrett is a Portfolio Manager at Northern Trust Investments, Inc. He is part of the Northern Trust's multi-manager solutions team.
The team is responsible for manager identification, research and due diligence, and investment monitoring for a wide variety of client assets including institutions, foundations, endowments, and high net worth individuals.
Mr. Barrett's responsibilities include due diligence and analysis on prospective managers, monitoring and reporting on current managers, portfolio construction, asset class education, as well as, various research projects.
He is part of the global fixed income team, which focuses on investment grade, high yield, liability driven, private credit, and tax-exempt investments.
In addition to his expertise in credit, he also has experience in alternatives.
Prior to joining Northern Trust Asst Management in 2016, Mr. Barrett worked at A.G.
Bisset Associates, a foreign exchange specialist, where he responsible for developing and implementing investment and risk strategies for global clients.
He also previously worked at RBS and Morgan Stanley focusing on credit and securitized products.
He received his MBA from the New York University Stern School of Business with concentrations in Quantitative Finance and Global Business.
He earned a BS in Finance and a BS in Marketing from the Syracuse University Whitman School of Management.
