Newton is currently serving as the Chairman of the National Business Aviation Association.
He is also a Director at Milliken & Co. (South Carolina), The National Air & Space Museum, Smithsonian National Air & Space Museum, Allied Fund Administrators LLC, National Museum of the U.S.
Air Force, and Air Force Historical Foundation.
In the past, Mr. Newton held positions as a Director at Goodrich Corp., Sonoco Products Co., Globe Life, Inc., L-3 Communications Holdings, Inc., and L3 Technologies, Inc. He also served as the Lead Independent Director at Globe Life, Inc. and as an Independent Director at L3Harris.
Technologies, Inc. Additionally, he worked as the Executive Vice President-Military Engines at The Pratt & Whitney Co., Inc. and as a Congressional Liaison Officer for the U.S.
House of Representatives.
Prior to that, he had a distinguished career in the US Air Force, reaching the rank of General.
Mr. Newton obtained his graduate degree from George Washington University in 1985 and his undergraduate degree from Tennessee State University in 1966.
