James Oren Ellis is currently the Chairman of the U.S.
Space Foundation and a Member of the National Academy of Engineering.
He previously served as the President & Chief Executive Officer of the Institute of Nuclear Power Operations, Inc. from 2005 to 2012.
He was also the Chairman of Level 3 Parent LLC from 2014 to 2017.
Additionally, he has held positions such as Independent Director at Dominion Energy, Inc. from 2013 to 2023, Independent Non-Executive Director at Inmarsat Group Ltd. from 2005 to 2016, and Independent Director at Lockheed Martin Corp.
from 2004 to 2024.
Mr. Ellis has a graduate degree from the Georgia Institute of Technology and a undergraduate degree from the United States Naval Academy, which he received in 2010.
He also has a graduate degree from the University of West Florida.
