They look for firms with an enterprise value between EUR 10-30 million, with sales ranging from EUR 15-60 million and an EBITA greater than EUR 1 million. They consider deals that involve complex situations or non-standard sale processes. The firm invests across a variety of sectors with a preference for industries such as chemical, environmental, consumer products, industrial production, leisure, healthcare, pharmaceutical, financial services and the outsourcing of services. Their investments include a manufacturer of specialty laminates, luxury goods and a chemical company. BV Capital typically takes a controlling majority in their portfolio firms. The firms' partners invest their own money. They also consider minority stakes with like-minded investment partners. Post acquisition, the firm will take a chairman position and may even take further management roles when necessary. They draw on their international network for the benefit of their portfolio firms.
