Mark Hsu

Mr. Hsu joined H&QAP in 2001 and is currently based in Shanghai with responsibility for overseeing the firm’s venture capital, private equity and real estate investments in China.
From 1999 to 2001, Mr. Hsu was Director of Business Development for Sina.com, where he was based in the company’s Silicon Valley headquarters and responsible for developing strategic relationships with global consumer, media and Internet companies.
From 1997 to 1999, Mr. Hsu was an attorney with Simpson Thacher & Bartlett where he focused on securities and M&A transactions in the hedge fund and private equity industry, principally working with The Blackstone Group.
Mr. Hsu received his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of California at Los Angeles in 1993 and his Juris Doctor degree from Columbia University in 1997, where he was a Managing Editor of the Journal of Asian Law.
