He previously held positions as President, Chief Executive Officer & Director of Philippine National Construction Corp., Chairman-Integrity Board of Philippines Department of Trade & Industry, Chairman of Philippine Retirement Authority, Director of Benguet Corp., Director of Eastern Telecommunications Philippines, Inc., Director of Pacific Telecommunications Council, and Trustee of Muntinlupa Development Foundation.
He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Ateneo de Manila and his graduate degree from Ateneo De Manila Law School.
