James M.
Moroney is currently the Chairman of The Dallas Foundation, Director of State Fair of Texas, Director of The Associated Press (New York), Director of Andrew Harper LLC, Director of The International News Media Association, Director of Dallas Regional Chamber of Commerce, and Member-Finance Council of Roman Catholic Diocese of Dallas.
He previously served as the Chief Executive Officer of The Dallas Morning News, Inc. from 2001 to 2018, Director of Belo Corp.
from 2008 to 2013, and Executive Vice President of Belo Corp.
from 1998 to 1999.
He was also the President of Belo Interactive, Inc. from 1999 to 2001.
Moroney has also served as a Director of News Media Alliance, American Press Institute, Inc., Television Bureau of Advertising, Inc., NewsRight LLC, and DallasNews Corp.
Moroney received his undergraduate degree from Stanford University in 1978 and his MBA from The University of Texas at Austin in 1983.
