David Frank Baker

Mr. Baker was appointed as Northen Rock's Chief Operating Officer in January 2001.
He became an Executive Director of Northern Rock Building Society in January 1996 and was appointed as an Executive Director of Northern Rock plc in October 1996.
He is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Bankers.
In his present role he is responsible for the direction and management of the Company's operations and in particular, Retail Savings, Credit, Customer Services, Personnel, Premises and Legal and Compliance.
He is Chairman of The Newcastle Employment Bond Limited and a Trustee of the University of Newcastle upon Tyne Development Trust.
He is a Member of both the Chairman's and Risk Committees.
