The bulk of their assets are invested in fixed-income, complemented with equity. They also invest directly in real estate, and marginally in money-market instruments and loans. KEE's equity investments favor the Nordic countries (particularly Finland), as well as the European and North American markets. They also invest a part of their equity portfolio in the Pacific region. The management of the global segments of the portfolio is outsourced to external managers, while the Nordic portfolio is managed in-house following a bottom-up approach. They do not have sector or market-cap restrictions. Investment intelligence outsourced from sell-side partners supplements research generated in-house, that includes company visits.
