James Howard

James J.
Howard is Chairman Emeritus of Xcel Energy, Inc. Previously, he was Chairman of Xcel Energy from August 2000 to August 2001.
He had been Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Northern States Power since 1988 and President since 1994.
Prior to 1987, he was President and Chief Operating Officer of Ameritech Corporation.
Mr. Howard is a Director of Walgreen Company and was a Director of Honeywell, Inc. from July 1990 to December 1999.
