David Spiegel

David Spiegel is a founder and Managing Director of GLS.
David leads commercial litigation and arbitration-related investing at GLS, having previously led investment teams at the world’s two largest litigation finance firms.
David has deep experience originating, underwriting, and managing litigation finance investments related to claims of breach of contract, fraudulent conveyance, antitrust, judgment enforcement, and investor-state arbitration, among others.
David also has consulted and testified as an expert in high-profile disputes regarding the valuation of litigation assets.
Prior to entering litigation finance, David was a litigator in the Chicago office of Kirkland & Ellis, where he represented clients in a wide array of industries.
He holds a J.D.
from the University of Pennsylvania Law School, an MSc from the London School of Economics, and a B.A. from Northwestern University.
