Yoshihide Nagata

Mr. Yoshihide Nagata is President & Chief Executive Officer at Manulife Asset Management (Japan) Ltd. and Vice President at Manulife Life Insurance Co. Mr. Nagata was previously employed as President & Chief Executive Officer by Manulife Investments Japan Ltd. He joined Manulife Life Insurance Company as a Vice President and Corporate Officer on February 1, 2012 and was appointed to the position of President & CEO, Representative Director of Manulife Investments Japan Limited on February 6, 2012.
He is responsible for expanding the Japanese mutual fund business of Manulife Investments Japan Limited, an important pillar of Manulife's overall growth strategy for the Japanese market.
Mr. Nagata is a seasoned investment professional with more than 25 years of experience in the asset management industry.
He has held key fund management positions at Nikko Securities, Nippon Life Insurance Company and Nomura Asset Management, and leadership roles related to investment products at BlackRock Japan and Fidelity Investments Japan.
Most recently before joining Manulife, Mr. Nagata worked for Schroder Investment Management (Japan), where he held a senior management position with a responsibility to expand mutual fund sales.
