Ulrich Laitenberger

Dr. Ulrich Laitenberger is a Research Associate at Zentrum für Europäische Wirtschaftsforschung GmbH.
He has been a ZEW Research Associate since May 2017 and works in close cooperation with the Research Department "Digital Economy".
He is an associate professor in the Department of Economics and Social Sciences at Télécom Paris.
His research interests are empirical industrial organization, competition policy and the economics of digitization.
In particular, he focuses on the design and impact of digital markets and platforms.
Previously, he was a post-doctoral researcher in ZEW’s Research Department “Information and Communication Technologies” as well as the University of Mannheim.
Joining ZEW in 2011, he participated in the doctoral programme in applied economics at the KU Leuven.
He graduated in November 2015.
Prior to earning his Ph.D., he studied economics at the University of Würzburg and at Pompeu Fabra University, Barcelona.
