Lufkin focuses on non-traditional fixed income-based strategies. They have specific expertise in senior secured bank loans, high yield bonds, and structured credit. The firm seeks current income and preservation of value, while minimizing the risk of default and maximizing the chance of recovery. Credit selection is based on top-down and bottom-up fundamental research, capital structure and situational expertise. Lufkin pursues a highly integrated, research-intensive approach utilizing synergies across its platforms.
