He founded RAE Systems, Inc. in 1991, where he held the title of Chairman, President & Chief Executive Officer until 2013.
He also founded Applied Optoelectronic Technology Corp.
in 1981 and AEssense Corp.
in 2013, where he previously held the title of Chairman, President & Chief Executive Officer.
In addition to his founding positions, Mr. Chen currently holds the position of President, Chief Executive Officer & Director at Aessense Holding Ltd. and Director at Shanghai Ericsson Simtek Electronics Co. Ltd.Mr. Chen has also held former positions, including Independent Director at Alpha & Omega Semiconductor Ltd. from 2013 to 2019, Director at Tropos Technologies, Inc., and General Manager at HP, Inc. from 1993 to 1993.
Regarding his education, Mr. Chen has an undergraduate degree from Syracuse University, a graduate degree from South Dakota School of Mines & Technology, and an undergraduate degree from National Cheng Kung University.
