The firm has special expertise in supply chain management and logistics solutions, data processing & analysis, IP-related communication services, telecom, telecom infrastructure, RFID, chip design, semiconductor IP, immunology, oncology, metabolic diseases and genetic diversity. They do not invest in purely marketing-driven concepts, media projects or services. The firm typically seeks to invest EUR 0.5-4 million in companies with a strong, defendable IP position, an innovative technological solution, an outstanding management team, a simple, compelling business idea with a clear and plausible business model, explosive growth potential and a plausible exit opportunity within the lifetime of their funds. In larger rounds, they usually invest in syndication with venture capital partners. GCP takes significant stakes and seeks board representation in their investee companies, partnering with management to lend strategic support to accelerate growth and create value, optimize capital structure and access additional financing through their partners.
