Nick Evans

Nick is a Managing Partner and member of the founding team at Active.
He is responsible for overseeing investment decisions, leading the direction and growth of the firm, and supporting portfolio companies through his various board roles.
Nick has over 20 years leadership experience building high-growth businesses across several consumer categories.
He was the driving force behind Active’s involvement in Rapha, where he has been Chairman since 2006 and was Chairman of Leon Restaurants between 2008-2016.
Nick is currently Chairman at Finisterre and Context Travel, and Non-Executive Director at The Fold, TravelLocal and Subdial.
Prior to Active, Nick held several leadership positions including CEO at MW Group in London (consisting of Mappin & Webb, Watches of Switzerland and TM Sutton) which he successfully returned to profitability and sold, UK Managing Partner for Mitiska NV and Partner at Net Fund Europe, a £70m private equity fund established by Mitiska.
He started his career at Bain & Company in London, Hong Kong, San Francisco and Paris.
Nick holds an MBA from INSEAD and is an active angel investor, mainly in the consumer sector.
