Bank Nagelmackers' investment philosophy is based on a top-down market approach. The firm follows the global macroeconomic situation and the evolution of financial markets, sectors and companies on a day to day basis in order to establish their general investment and asset allocation strategies, which they then adapt to the individual needs of their clients. Bank Nagelmackers manages portfolios invested across asset classes, regions, sectors and strategies through vehicles such as savings accounts, fixed-income funds, global equity funds, specialty funds with a sector or geographic focus and individual equity portfolios.

Selectum is an active investor which employs a bottom-up, value-driven stock picking approach. The firm exclusively invests in companies and not in regions, sectors, commodities or structured products. They mainly opt for companies from Belgium, Germany and the Netherlands and occasionally for companies outside this region. Selectum does not invest in companies that are active in real estate, biotechnology, pharmaceuticals or in companies from other continents.
