They focus on the 20 major trends, cycles and developments around the world that they believe drive stock, bond, real estate and commodity prices and the value of the US dollar. CoreStates invests in reasonable priced stocks that they believe will participate in the growth of the world economy. For bonds, they seek high quality and ready liquidity. The firm tends to invest in energy and materials-related assets. CoreStates also invests in real estate-related assets, natural resources and foreign currencies. In addition, they employ long/short and multi-strategy hedge funds when appropriate.
