Jack B. Benton

Dr. Jack B. Benton is a Managing Director at 4th Quarter, Inc. and Fund Advisor at Dove Capital Partners LLC.
He is on the Board of Directors at TNS, Inc. He was owner and seller of two companies Benton International, Inc. and Benton Consulting Partners, a deputy head and senior executive with two public companies, Perot Systems and Efunds and is currently a Board member for TNS.
He has been a Board member of five other private companies.
He currently owns a third company, Fourth Quarter Inc., which is a small investment management and consulting company, with operations internationally.
He joined TRW in 1972 and got in on the ground floor of the development of electronic funds transfer.
He left TRW in 1976 to become the presidentially appointed (Ford) and senate confirmed Executive Director of the National Commission on Electronic Fund Transfer.
In 1984, he set up Benton International Inc, which became one of the most prominent specialized consultancies in financial services and payment systems development, cutting across the dimensions of strategy, project management and turn key systems development.
In 1997, Benton International was sold to Perot Systems.
He left Perot in 2002 and set up Benton Consulting Partners.
Unexpectedly and almost immediately, he became deeply involved with eFunds Corporation, a somewhat challenged company in 2002, which was led by a former client and good friend.
During late 2002, he ended up sitting in as the executive in charge of the payments system division, which formerly was known as Deluxe Data Systems.
Dr. Benton received his undergraduate degree from the University of Southern California, a graduate degree from Syracuse University, and a doctorate degree from the University of Southern California.
He is married to Debi and they maintain homes in Redondo Beach, CA and Scottsdale, AZ.
