Previously, he served as Non-Executive Chairman at Banque Cantonale de Genève, Managing Director at Forum Mondial de L'Economie, and Member-Management Board at Holcim Ltd. (Switzerland).
He was also a former Professor at the University of St. Gallen and the University of Geneva.
He holds a doctorate degree from the University of St. Gallen.
